Hallahan 2015-2016 all catholics; 2015; Maddy McBride ’18 3rd team all catholic (was the only freshmen in 2015 to be named all catholic) Brigid Stermel ’16 2nd team all catholic. 2016; Maddy McBride ’18 3rd team all catholic and Brigid Stermel ’16 2nd team all catholic.

Hallahan softball beats their rivals Little Flower in 10 innings. Maddy McBride ’18 strikes out 19 and Brigid Stermel ’16 hits in the winning run. click here for the full story!

Hallahan softball beats Little flower in the first round of playoff action 4-1. Danielle Skrocki ’18 & Julia Kuneck ’18 got the game started by both hitting singles to get on base. Maddy McBride ’18  & Brigid Stermel ’16 both hit singles to hit julia and danielle in to get a lead on Little flower early. Then Beth McCormick ’16 and Danielle Shields ’17 both hit singles to make the score 4-0 in the top of the 7th. Little flower leads off the bottom of the 7th with a double and a single to make the score 4-1 but Maddy McBride shuts the door ending the game with 15 strikeouts and advancing to quarterfinals. click here for full story!

Hallahan faced their true test facing #2 seed Archbishop Wood as Hallahan was the #7 seed. The game goes to extra innings, neither team scoring or getting on base but in the bottom of the 7th Wood had their only chance by hitting a leadoff triple with no outs but Maddy McBride ’18 strikes out the next 3 batters shocking the Archbishop Wood vikings. So that being woods’ only hit the game goes to extra innings which means the international tie breaker rule occurs which means the last batted out starts at 2nd base. So Danielle Shields ’17 hits in Emma Stokes ’19 for the game winning hit. Then Wood has one more chance since they are the home team but Julia Kuneck throws 2 runners out to make it 2 outs and Brigid Stermel secures the win for Hallahan by making an outstanding play at 3rd base. click here for full story!

Hallahan softball advances to semifanls at Arcadia University to face #1 seed O’hara. Hallahan battles a long 12 innings and scores 2 runs which is not enough while O’hara scored 1 in the 10th’ 11th and 12th inning. It was such a heartbreaking loss but Hallahan will be back next year!
